AAP Party Worker Compelled her do Commit Suicide as the Alleged was Released in Bail

It is accused one of the AamAdmi Party leaders used to torture her in order to make physical relationship. And, just because of the same, she committed suicide.

A female AAP worker committed suicide after her molester - also a party member - was released on bail, police said on Wednesday.

The BharatiyaJanata Party (BJP) alleged that the incident had exposed the anti-women character of the party.The deceased has been identified as Sony, who resided in outer Delhi’s Narela area with her two daughters and other family members.

A senior police officer said, “She had made a police complaint on June 2, 2016 regarding harassment done by one of her party colleagues Ramesh Wadhwa. We registered the case against him and arrested him on June 3.” The officer added “He was granted bail on June 4 and released.”

The case was registered under Sections 506and 509 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), as said by police. “On Tuesday, she mixed something into her cold drink and tried to commit suicide at about 2 pm,” the officer said, adding “She was rushed to hospital, but died at about 7 pm.”

In her police complaint, Sony had alleged Wadhwa for harassing her continuously and asking for sexual favours. She even raised the matter in the party but no action was taken against him. Instead, he was released in bail.
