Prachanda Speech at House

CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said the arrogance and egoistic working style of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli had led to the filing of no-confidence motion against him at the Parliament.

“PM Oli forgot that the opportunity provided to him was a result of a collective effort,” Dahal said speaking in support of the no-confidence motion at the parliament. “He tried to weaken Maoist by using them and his working styles also reflected egoistic and self-centric nature.”

Dahal said that the PM’s attitude towards his party was the reason behind the growing distance between Maoist and CPN-UML. “We felt that we were being pushed to start afresh on our own. We forged the alliance with Nepali Congress and filed the no-confidence motion after his behaviour clearly suggested us to part ways or face action,” he said.

Dahal also accused PM Oli of standing against federalism and failing to embrace agendas of change such as secularism and inclusiveness and republican state. “PM’s attention diverted from these agendas,” he said.
